Suunta 12°
Suunta 12° is a traditional Finnish scout camp organized by the Lake Area Scouts and Guides. The camp is located most probably at the best scout camp area in the whole Finland. The area consists of beautiful pinery next to stunning lake beaches and the beautiful Lake Saimaa. The camp program is aimed to be an attractive combination of traditional and modern scout skills.
The program is divided into four activity areas: handicraft, waterplay, science, and motion. The camp is expected to host about 1500 participants. The international guests are welcome to the camp. Dates
The camp start 25th of July and ends 1st of August.
Before the actual camp there is a voluntary three days construction camp for scout over 18 years old. After the camp there are a few days reserved for pulling down the camp, joining is voluntary.
Costs and registration
Camp fee is 160€ / person including food, program and camping in your own tents during the camp. More information on registration later this year.
Group
Participants should be 12-18 years old or older rovers and leaders. Each group of 7 persons should have one at least 18 years old leader who speaks English. Each contingent (max. 40 persons) should have at least one 25 years old leader. In camp leaders will use Finnish and English languages.
